Long time reader, first time writer.
I don’t think I would have identified the Eco-Farmer profile as a particularly important part of your magazine if I had been polled. However, upon receiving my September 2022 issue in the mail, while walking back to the house I instinctively flipped to the last page expecting to read a quick profile.
Although the primmer on phosphorus availability was helpful and something I’d like to continue seeing, I was disappointed not to find a profile. I wouldn’t have written without your prompting, but since you asked: I’d hate for this feature to come to an end. Though as you note, this must sometimes happen.
Thanks for all you’re doing.

Please bring back the “Meet an Eco-Farmer” page! Acres magazine is so chock full of stats, data, graphics and science that substituting an “eco-graphic” page in place of the Eco-Farmer is simply info overload. The Eco-Farmer gives interesting insight to a variety of folks, locations and situations that “data” can’t and shouldn’t replace. Need more space? Swap out one of the bookstore pages (you already have two front-to-back) and use it to continue bringing the Eco-Farmer back your subscribers.

From the editor: Thank you, Dan and Susan. We appreciate your insights and your support. We’re going to keep going with the eco-graphic for now, but we promise to continue to try to feature profiles of farmers within the magazine.
Please continue to let us know what you think — and send us ideas on successful regenerative farmers to profile!
